If you want to remove the back of a Bulova Accutron watch, you'd better operate the watch with some prior technical knowledge. No one will keep off those nasty little accidents, such as let the watch dry after it came into contact with liquid or the batteries are died, then you may need to take off the back to change the batteries. However, removing the back of a Bulova Accutron is a very quick task to accomplish but you will need a steady hand and dexterity and a good deal of patience as well as some preatical instructions.
Set up your tools. Find a clean and well-lit area as you will be working with very small pieces. In order to keep track of the pieces, you'd better prepare a piece of cardboard or newspaper so that you can work on top of them.
Unscrew the four screws that hold the back of the watch in place. Use a jeweler's flathead screwdriver. This can be purchased at any jewelry supply store.
Put the screws in a safe place for keeping. We suggest you to put the screws parts on a magnet that will help to prevent the parts from losing or disappeared as the screws are tiny things. By doing this, will ensure that they're not lost until you want to replace the back of the watch.
Gently pull off the back of the watch using your fingernails. It should come off easily if you did the right operation. While if the back is stuck, don't worry and don't be panic, wedge the screwdriver between the plate and the inside of the watch and bend so that the backing pops off.
